Maxwell Young moved all in from the small blind, and Nicholas Poulos called for 1,000,000 in the big blind.
Nicholas Poulos: A♣10♠
Maxwell Young: Q♦4♦
Young hit top pair on the Q♥10♣3♥ flop, while the J♦ fell on the turn. The river, though, brought the K♠ to give Poulos a straight, and he earned the double up.
Heads-up on a board of 9♣5♣8♠7♥, Thomas Yarbrough bet 280,000 from the small blind and Elguja Gigauri called in middle position.
The river was the J♠ and Yarbrough bet another 355,000. Gigauri snap-called with 7♣7♠ for a set, and Yarbrough mucked A♣Q♠.
Jason Nguyen and Bin Weng got all their chips in the middle before the flop, with Nguyen all in for 2,400,000 from the cutoff as Weng barely had him covered on the button.
Jason Nguyen: 9♥9♣
Bin Weng: A♦Q♥
It was a massive flip with 5,000,000 at stake, and Nguyen's nines held up through the 7♣2♥8♥4♦6♣ board to earn him the double up. Weng, meanwhile, was left with less than one big blind.
Aaron Fischer was eliminated at the same time on another table.
Andrew Chang moved all in for 735,000 in the hijack and Nicholas Cassese put him at risk in the small blind.
Andrew Chang: 5♥5♠
Nicholas Cassese: A♥9♥
Chang remained in the lead through the turn on a board of 7♦8♠8♦6♥, but Cassese caught the 10♦ on the river to make a straight and send Chang to the rail.
Prior to the hand, the dealer instructed Dhaval Joshi to put his chips in stacks of 20. "The players don't care. We're just playing poker," Joshi protested.
Joshi then opened to 180,000 under the gun and Spyros Malkotsis called in the big blind. Malkotis then moved all in on the A♠2♦9♠ flop, and Joshi called for 900,000.
Dhaval Joshi: A♣7♣
Spyros Malkotsis: A♦Q♦
Both players had flopped top pair, while Malkotis was ahead with his queen-kicker. The board ran out 10♠8♥, and Joshi couldn't catch up and was sent to the rail.
"That's some bad karma, not listening to the dealer," James Calderaro added.
Level: 26
Blinds: 40,000/80,000
Ante: 80,000
Chadd Beatty raised to 120,000 in the hijack, Nicholas Cassese three-bet to 300,000 in the cutoff, and Beatty called.
The flop came 8♠8♦2♣ and Cassese bet 150,000. Beatty called, and the 3♠ fell on the turn. Cassese then moved all in, and Beatty snap-folded.
Spyros Malkotis to 120,000 in the hijack, Alex Gil moved all in for 500,000 in the small blind, and Malkotis called.
Alex Gil: 10♦10♠
Spyros Malkotis: A♠J♦
Gil remained in the lead through the turn on a board of 3♠K♦4♣K♠, but Malkotis spiked the J♠ on the river to win the pot and send Gil and his cat to the rail.
"You were a class act," James Calderaro told Gil as he shook his hand. Gil took a minute to gather his things before heading off to the payout desk.
"Why am I still here? I'm waiting for another river, that's why," Gil joked.
Samuel Taylor bet 130,000 from the big blind on a board of 8♦7♥6♠J♥ before Sebastian Crema moved all in from middle position. Taylor had around 600,000 behind and tanked for several minutes before another tablemate called the clock. His 30-second countdown had nearly reached zero when he tossed in his last chips.
Taylor showed Q♠J♠ for top pair, but he was behind Crema's A♠J♣. The river was the 4♦, and Taylor was sent to the rail.
At another table, Angel Lopez had shoved for 560,000 from the hijack and Ryan Mostafa called in the big blind.
Angel Lopez: A♣5♦
Ryan Mostafa: A♠9♠
Mostafa hit a pair on the 9♣J♥2♠ flop, while the turn was the 3♠. The J♠ river improved Mostafa to a flush, and Lopez was also sent off to the payout desk.
Alex Gil moved all in for 210,000 under the gun and Simone Zaino called in the big blind.
Alex Gil: K♠K♣
Simone Zaino: Q♠J♣
"Come on, kitty. Eight lives left," Gil said as he squeezed his black cat going to the A♣9♣9♦ flop. The turn was the 7♣, while the 10♣ river improved him to a flush for the double up.
