Gay Has a Double Ripped Away on the River
Level 29
: Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Joseph Gay raised to 600,000 on the button and Adam Calabrese called in the big blind.
Both players checked the 10♣3♣2♦ flop. Gay then bet 800,000 on the K♣ turn, Calabrese moved all in, and Gay called for his last 2,000,000.
Gay showed K♠Q♥ for top pair and was ahead of Calabrese's K♦8♣. The river was the J♣ and Gay began to pull his chips back, but the table then alerted him that Calabrese had made a flush on the river to win the pot and send him to the rail.
