Involuntary Commitment

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We caught the tail end of an all-in confrontation between Christopher Chang and an unidentified opponent, and when it was all said in done Chang had notched the knockout.

His opponent had open-shoved for a little less than 20,000, and after the action folded around to him in the big blind, Chang casually announced the call.

When he tabled just the {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} it appeared Chang was on the ropes, as he was up against the {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, but when the flop fell {5-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{8-Clubs} he took command of the hand. The turn ({k-Hearts}) and river ({10-Spades}) kept him out in front, and with that Chang sent his opponent packing.

Asked about the hand, Chang just laughed while saying "I was pot-committed there... I was in the big blind!"
