Maggie May I

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Maggie Morris
Maggie Morris

We didn't see the hand but Maggie Morris relayed the hand to us as she was stacking some new found chips.

"I got it all in on a {9-}{8-}{3-} flop with {10-}{10-}," she told us. "He had {A-}{A-} and the turn came {7-} and the river was {J-} to give me a straight."

Morris, who recently won a tournament at PARX for $95,000, is up to 365,000 after the hand.

"I'm just lucky," she said, a smile filling her face.

Call the Secret Service

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Roger Lovett
Roger Lovett

Roger Lovett called the all in wager of a short stacked player with {A-}{J-} and was racing as his opponent had {6-}{6-}.

The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} keeping the short stacked player in the lead. The turn was the {Q-Spades} giving Lovett some more ways to win the pot as any Ace, Jack, 8, or 7 would do the deed.

The river was the {8-Clubs} counterfeiting the pair of 6's and giving Lovett the pot. The eliminated player pushed quickly away from the table, a half look of contempt and disgust on his face. Lovett moved to 330,000 with the win.

Not The Wong Card

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
She Lok Wong
She Lok Wong

We catch up to the action with the following board:

{A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{K-Spades}{2-Hearts}

She Lok Wong placed out an 80,000 bet. It's a large bet relative to the pot - more than half the pot size. His opponent thought for a moment and tossed out a call. He could only mutter under his breath when he saw Wong's unbeatable hand... {Q-}{10-} for the nut straight. That hand moved Wong well above the half million mark in chips which is good enough for the chip lead with 40 players remaining.

Staying Alive

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante
Anna Antimony
Anna Antimony

A short stacked Anna Antimony moved all in when it was folded to her in late position. The player to her immediate left also moved all in. The last two players left to act folded and the cards were turned over... {A-Spades}{4-Clubs} for Antimony and {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for her opponent.

"Can I get an Ace," she asked. Ask and ye shall receive. The dealer put out a {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop.

"There you go," said one of her table mates.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds} and the river was the {7-Diamonds} and Antimony scored the double up.

"The best hand doesn't win here," she said, almost not believing her luck.

Sivolella Cracks Aces

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante
Anthony Sivolella
Anthony Sivolella

Sitting on a pile of chips, Anthony Sivolella got it all in with his shorter stacked opponent on a {10-}{9-}{6-} flop with {K-}{9-}. His opponent had {A-}{A-} and was in command of the hand until a {K-} hit the turn. His opponent needed a Ten, Six, or Ace on the river to stay alive but was unable to hit any of those. Sivolella surpassed the 400,000 chip mark with that pot.
