C.J. Mucciaccio Eliminated in 7th Place ($1,964)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
C.J. Mucciaccio - 7th Place
C.J. Mucciaccio - 7th Place

C.J. Mucciaccio was in great shape to double up on a flop of {4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{a-Diamonds} holding {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for two pair against Leonardo Palermo's {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}.

Luckily for Palermo, the board came {5-Hearts}, {10-Spades} respectively, giving him a better two pair and eliminating Mucciaccio, who will earn $1,964 for his efforts.

Big Double for Palermo

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Leonardo Palermo
Leonardo Palermo

Leo Palermo raised to 20,000 from under the gun, and three players called; Barak Zaken, Amnon Filippi, and Vincent Firsching. All four players checked on a flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}.

The turn was the {a-Diamonds}, Filippi led out for 25,000, and both Firsching and Palermo called.

The river was the {8-Spades}, both Filippi and Firsching checked, and Palermo moved all in for 65,000. Filippi folded, and Firsching quickly called.

Palermo showed {8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} for the nut-low and two pair, and Firsching flashed {5-}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{x-} when mucking.

Huge Double for Zaken

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Barak Zaken and Vincent Firsching were heads up on a flop of {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, and after a few bets and raises, Zaken was all in and t risk for 140,000.

Zaken: {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}
Firsching: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

"Make it quick," Zaken asked the dealer, wanting the turn to bring his heart flush.

The dealer obliged, delivering the {k-Hearts} on the turn, and the {q-Diamonds} bricked off on the river.

Zaken doubled over 300,000 chips, while Firsching fell to 125,000.

Menachem Rosenberg Eliminated in 8th Place ($1,571)

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

A very short-stacked Menachem Rosenberg was all in for his last few big blinds preflop with {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}, and Vincent Firsching had him at risk with {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

The dealer fanned {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, giving Rosenberg a set of sixes, and he requested a "pair" to fill up and make a full house.

He received his pair as the turn and river both produced queens - the {q-Diamonds} and {q-Clubs} respectively - giving Firsching queens full of fours.

Rosenberg was eliminated in eighth place.

Limpin' Ain't Easy

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Barak Zaken limped in from under the gun, Amnon Filippi called on the button, and Vincent Firsching and Leonardo Palermo came along from the blinds. The quartet checked on a flop of {9-Spades}{10-Spades}{k-Spades}, and the turn was a repeat nine - the {9-Diamonds}.

Both players in the blinds checked, Zaken fired a minimum bet of 8,000, and only Filippi called.

Both players checked when the river brought a third nine - the {9-Hearts} - and Zaken took the pot with {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs} for a spade flush.
