Lee Crippled; Morgan Out

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

When we arrived at Table 3, Sungwon Lee was all in for 85,500 on a flop of {7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Bernard Liberati called all in for less on his direct left, and Jewook Oh was in the tank.

Oh thought long and hard before folding {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} face up, and he was very happy to see Lee's {k-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. Liberati tabled {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} for a pair.

The turn and river bricked {7-Clubs}, {q-Spades} respectively, and Liberati doubled to 210,000 chips. Lee was crippled to 8,000.

During this hand, Raymond Morgan was eliminated with unknown action.

Joseph Liberta Eliminated

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Joseph Liberta moved all in over the top of Shankar Pillai's opening raise and Pillai made the call with {10-}{10-} which was just a notch ahead of Liberta's {9-}{9-}. The board would not change anything and Liberta was eliminated in 50th place, just five spots shy of the money. There are 49 players remaining.

Winning or Bubbling

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Eric Starker raised to 11,000 in the hijack seat, Robson Barbosa called on his direct left, and Charlie Hook three-bet to 35,000. Starker called, Barbosa folded, and the flop fell {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}, and Starker check-folded to a bet.

Hook showed {10-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

"That's my last bluff, I promise," he chuckled. "I'm either winning or bubbling."

Straighten Up

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

A crazy hand just took place. The fireworks didn't really start until the river with the board reading {10-}{8-}{6-}{A-}{J-} rainbow. David Tuthill led out for 30,000 and Raymond Morgan called. Jake Toole made it 130,000 to go and Tuthill tank-folded. Morgan was quick to call, showing {Q-}{9-} for the second nut straight. Tuthill turned over his hand even though he'd folded... {9-}{7-} for a flopped straight that turned into the third worst hand by the river since Toole had {K-}{Q-} for the nuts.

At other tables, Dan Wach, Aristides Santana, and Christian Harder have all been eliminated.

Izzet Gets Busy

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Chris Csik raised to 19,000 in early position, Izzet Burak Temel three-bet to 21,000 in late position, Csik four-bet to 50,000, and Temel moved all in. Csik considered the bet for quite some time, then folded.

Keven Stammen Eliminated

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

A short stacked Keven Stammen moved all in with {A-}{9-} and was called by a player with {A-}{J-}. Stammen was unable to improve and nodded his head slightly and wished the rest of the table "good luck" as he grabbed his things and headed to the exit.

A Hand and Counts from Table 1

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Before the break, Matt Brady raised to 7,700 out of the cutoff, Scott McClean called on the button, Paul Spitzberg called in the small blind, and Jeremy McLaughlin defended his big blind.

The dealer fanned {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, the two players in the blinds checked, Brady knuckled, and McClean fired out five T5,000 chips. Spitzberg check-raised all in for an additional 146,000, and the action folded back to McClean.

He hummed and hawed for a few minutes, apologizing profusely to this table mates for taking too much time, then eventually folded.

Here are counts for the entire table:
