Kachittavong Katches Kwads

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Soukha Kachittavong
Soukha Kachittavong

Just a couple of days ago, Soukha Kachittavong took first place in the BFPO $500K GTD Deepstack Kick-Off event, earning $87,443 (7-way deal).

He's been struggling to get any traction today, but he's finally there.

He was all-in with pocket fours against pocket sevens and both players caught a set on the {10-}{7-}{4-} flop.

Then Kachittavong caught the case four for quads to take the pot, doubling up to ~530,000.

Serious NJ Devils Fan

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante
Robert Nadolny
Robert Nadolny

Robert Nadolny is a serious fan of the New Jersey Devils and has a collection of hockey jerseys, almost all of which are, or were at some time in their careers, players for his favorite team.

Today's jersey is that of Glenn Allan "Chico" Resch, a Canadian-American retired goaltender and television sportscaster. Resch played in Colorado before the franchise moved to New Jersey to become the New Jersey Devils in 1982.

Nadolny spends more time in cash games than tournaments, but the allure of the Almighty is too strong to pass up. That $300,000 guarantee on total buy-ins really brings out the players in droves.

So Nice He Won It Twice

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Greg Fishberg
Greg Fishberg

Greg Fishberg is one of those few players to defend a title at Borgata, year over year — and it happened to be the Almighty Stack.

He won the $400 Almighty Stack NLH event in February of 2017, ($70,000) then won the same event one year later in February 2018 ($95,007). Those were special events run outside of Borgata's five yearly Open Series tournaments, so he has yet to win an Almighty Stack during an Open Series.

He has two other Borgata titles to his credit for a career total of four and more than $1.6 million in reported tournament earnings. Fishberg already cashed in Event #3: $600 Deepstack Kick-Off NLH, so he's on the board for this series.
