Lytle Spikes the River to Move Over Half a Million

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

John Lytle and his opponent were heads up on the {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} board. Lytle fired out a bet of 50,000 into a main pot of about 100,000 and his opponent moved all in for 175,000.

Lytle called turning over {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} for top pair and the nut flush draw but would need a diamond on the river as his opponent showed {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a turned flush.

The {8-Diamonds} hit the river and Lytle improved to the nut flush to collect the $100 bounty and drag in the biggest pot of the night.

Lytle is now at the top of the chip counts and he's the first player to cross the half a million chip mark.
