Marder Rivers the Nuts

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Michael Marder

Three players were looking at the turn with a board of {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{j-Hearts} and it was checked to Michael Marder on the button, who tossed in two blue chips (10,000). The big blind in Seat 4 called, then Seat 8 tanked for a bit before folding.

They were heads-up to the river, which was the {8-Diamonds} and Seat 4 jammed for 7,700. Michael snap-called, having him covered, but not by much. The hands were tabled and Seat 4's {6-Spades}{5-Spades} had missed the open-ended straight-flush draw, but rivered a straight. Michael's {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} had missed his flush draw as well, but caught the gutterball to river the nut straight.

Seat 4 headed for the exit while Michael collected his chips — he's up to 52,500 and more than double his starting stack.
