Garofalo Felts Holowchuk Before Break

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Anthony Garofalo
Anthony Garofalo

Thomas Holowchuk got his last chips in good with {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, but Anthony Garofalo had him covered and was racing with {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Holowchuk's horse came up lame when the flop fell {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} giving Garofalo trip aces.

He was drawing dead to one of two remaining queens. The {6-Hearts} on the turn was no help and neither was the {j-Diamonds} on the river.

He was felted in 79th place, earning $2,374. Garofalo chipped up to about 2.2 million as players headed into the color-up break.

Warren Jumps in Front

Level 23 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

The flop read {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and there was around 600,000 in the middle. Keith Warren checked to his opponent who bet 250,000 and Warren then check-raised his opponent all-in. His opponent took a moment but in the end, they called for their total 550,000 stack and the two tabled their hands.

Opponent: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Keith Warren: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

Warren had his opponent drawing to runner-runner to stay alive and the turn came down one of those cards as a {5-Spades} hit the felt. The dealer completed the board with a {6-Clubs}, cementing the pot for Warren with his quad sixes as he scooped the pot, eliminating his opponent as he took the lead of the tournament during the process of doing so.

Rafael Reis Looking to Repeat

Level 23 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Rafael Reis
Rafael Reis

We are approaching the dinner break here in Event 1: $600 Deepstack NLH and there are just 65 players remaining. Rafael Reis is still in the hunt and he knows a thing or two about this very event.

Reis bested the massive 2,370 entry Event 1: $600 Deepstack NLH field during last year's Borgata Spring Poker Open in April. He called his shot early on Day 2 and was true to his word taking home his largest career tournament score of $216,010 and the BSPO trophy.

"I'm calling my shot again, I'm taking home my second trophy" said Reis and we'll have to wait and see if his prediction comes to fruition.

Barnes Holds Against Sailboats

Level 23 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

A player in middle position moved all in for 325,000 and Brittney Barnes shoved over the top with around 660,000. The two tabled their hands and Barnes had her opponent at risk of elimination.

Opponent: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Brittney Barnes: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The flop came down {6-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and Barnes was still ahead with her cowboys. A {7-Hearts} turn and {9-Spades} river changed nothing as Barnes took down the pot, eliminating her opponent from the tournament.
