With the elimination of Carlos Matos in eighth place the final seven players immediately began to discuss a deal in the 2019 Borgata Poker Open Event #21: $300 Deep Stack NLH, a tournament that attracted 729 entries. The stacks were counted down and they reached an agreement within minutes.

Melisa Singh was all alone at the top of the chip counts with 8,100,000 and she took first place earning $27,438 and her first BPO trophy.

Singh was a one-woman wrecking crew late in the night catching fire at the perfect time eliminating three players from the final table.

It marked her third cash of the series and she has now earned over $128,000 throughout her career.

Carlos Matos

Carlos Matos was hovering in the middle of the pack for much of the night but he has caught fire following the break.

He just sent a player to the rail dragging in a massive pot to vault to the top of the chip counts with over 800,000.

Matos already holds two Borgata Poker titles and will surely be one to keep an eye as the field continues to thin down.

Malinconico Straigthens Out Pocket Kings

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Mike Malinconico
Mike Malinconico

A player in late position raised to 14,000 and the player in the cutoff called. With the action on Mike Malinconico on the button he moved all in for 81,000.

It folded back to the player in the cutoff who snap called turning over {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Malinconico showed {8-Spades}{7-Spades}

The dealer fanned the {q-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop and Malinconico picked up a gutshot straight draw. "Six of clubs" he yelled to the dealer but the {10-Hearts} turn was no help.

The {6-Spades} completed the board and the table erupted as Malinconico spiked his straight on the river to crack his opponent's pocket kings and double up.
