WSOP Ladies Champion in Action

Svetlana Gromenkova
Svetlana Gromenkova

Svetlana Gromenkova arrived and took her seat early in the first level of play.

Back in 2008, she won the WSOP Ladies Championship and $224,702 and in the years since has run her accumulated tournament earnings up to move than $566,000.

A familiar and smiling face is a welcome sight here at Borgata, especially early on a Saturday morning at the beginning of what will be a very long tournament day.

Welcome to the $400 NLH Saturday Series Deep Stack

Borgata Chips
Borgata Chips

It's slated to be a busy day at the 2019 Borgata Poker Open (BPO) with several events playing to a winner and a couple others kicking off. One of them is Event #4: $400 NLH Saturday Deep Stack Series, which is set to begin at 11 a.m. PokerNews will offer periodic updates on the one-day event.

Last year the first Saturday Series Deep Stack event drew 557 runners and crushed its $100K GTD by creating a $194,950 prize pool. Michael Cohen of Manalapan, New Jersey came out on top of that tournament for $30,000 after a deal was made.

Players will start with 25,000 in chips and later registration and re-entries will remain open through the break at the end of Level 10. Levels will last 30 minutes each throughout.
