Marc Ginsberg Eliminated in 7th Place ($1,295)

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Marc Ginsberg
Marc Ginsberg

Action folded around to Marc Ginsberg in the cutoff and he moved all in for 168,000. Peter Sennon saw the action fold to him in the big blind and after several moments of thought, he elected to call. The two tabled their hands with Ginsberg at risk.

Marc Ginsberg: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Peter Sennon: {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

The flop rolled out {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Ginsberg was still in a commanding lead with his snowmen.

An unfortunate card landed on the turn for Ginsberg when the dealer flipped over the {2-Spades}, giving Sennon a set and the lead.

The {2-Diamonds} river added insult to injury as Sennon took down the pot with his quads, eliminating Ginsberg from the tournament.

Larry Gurney opened to 24,000 from the button and Henry Porcaro jammed over the top in the small blind for a total of 345,000.

Gurney thought for about a minute before he released his hand and Porcaro took down the pot, extending his chip lead by that much more.

Sennon Flops Large, Knocks Weinstein Down a Peg

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

THe turned board read {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} and there was 64,000 in the pot. Ken Weinstein bet 25,000 and Peter Sennon called to see the {q-Hearts} river card.

Weinstein pushed in 45,000 and Sennon hit the tank. After a minute of thought, Sennon announced all in and Weinstein instantly released his hand, sending the pot to Sennon who turned over {a-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a full house as he scooped in the pot.

Dan Lobel
Dan Lobel

With just a few minutes remaining in the level before dinner break, the action was fast and furious.

Ben Lobel was the short-stack with only 47,000 when they moved to the final table and he busted out on the bubble.

Then two more hit the rail before dinner.

9th Place - David Apostolico ($777)
8th Place - Ben Laves ($1,036)

That wrapped up the level and the remaining seven Seniors are on a one-hour dinner break. Play will resume at about 8:05pm.

Two More Out the Door

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
David Apostolico
David Apostolico

On Table 1, Robert Georato was all-in pre-flop for 62,500 holding {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} against the {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} of Ken Weinstein, who had him barely covered. The board ran out {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{k-Spades} improving Weinstein to a flush. He's up to about 138,000. Georato reported to the rail in 13th place ($0).

On Table 2, David Apostolico was all-in holding {a-Clubs}{10-Spades} and dominated by Shaun Hen's {a-Spades}{k-Spades}, but the board came {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{q-Clubs} giving Apostolico first two pair, then the nut flush. He doubled up to 105,000 and Hen was left with only 10,000.

Those chips went in on the next hand after Dave Hollenberg opened for 15,000 under-the-gun. Apostolico also called from the big blind and both players checked down the board of {9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. Hollenberg's {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} took the side pot with Ace-high, beating a Apostolico's {j-Spades}{8-Clubs} and he also took the main pot, as Hen's {10-Spades}{3-Spades} made a pair on the flop but was counterfeited on the river. He was felted in 12th place ($0).
