Cai Gets a Call From Blumstein

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Zhen Cai
Zhen Cai

Zhen Cai opened early, Scott Blumstein made it 12,000 from the middle, Cai kicked it on up to 28,000, and Blumstein called.

On the flop of {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, Cai led for 13,500 and Blumstein flatted. On the {5-Hearts} turn, Cai fired 20,500 and again Blumstein called.

The {q-Hearts} finished the board and Cai bet 83,000, leaving himself only about 40,000 behind. Blumstein tanked for a few minutes before deciding to call.

Cai tabled {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} for Aces-full and Blumstein mucked his hand. After paying off that bet, he was down to only ~35,000 while Cai chipped up to 334,000, close to the chip lead.

Zhang and Weissman Flip for Stacks

Level 13 : 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Min Zhang opened to 5,500 from the hijack and Joey Weissman moved all in from the small blind. Zhang called for her 34,000 stack and was the player at risk as they flipped over their hands.

Min Zhang: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Joey Weissman: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

The board ran out {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and Zhang's flopped ace took down the pot for a complete double, leaving Weissman with just a few big blinds.
