"knittingboy" Wins Event #8 Low: Stud; "rumpthumper" Takes down Event #9 Low: PLO8

A pair of "low" events played out on Thursday.

In the $10 buy-in Event #8 Low: $1,000 GTD Stud, 97 entrants competed, which meant the top 12 got paid. Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were "THECOOPER007" (9th - $27.50), "Pokerlambie18" (10th - $27.50), "smile121" (11th - $27.50), and "rumpthumper" (12th - $27.50).

In the end, it was "knittingboy" besting "windowman" in heads-up play to claim the title and $300 first-place prize.

"rumpthumper" Wins Event #9 Low: PLO8

One of the other tournaments to wrap up on Thursday night as the $10 buy-in Event #9 Low: $1,000 GTD PLO8, a tournament that drew 195 runners and offered up a $1,755 prize pool. That was distributed to the top 21 players including "HOYA86" (10th - $29.83), "JaneLeo" (15th - $24.57), and "dk1974" (22nd - $18.42), just to name a few.

Ari "spinach_kale" Engel was at yet another Borgata Spring Poker Open Online Series final table, though this time he was first to fall finishing in eighth place. Eventually, the title came down to "pokermstr2" and "rumpthumper." The latter wound up the victor to take down the title and $451.98 top prize.

"rags224" Connects With Flop To Double Through "harveyblicks"

"JinYang" Doubles Through "FrankyFunk"

With play in Level 11 and blinds of 1,400/2,800 with an ante of 350, Michael Gagliano opened for 6,160 on the button and "JinYang" three-bet jammed for 59,072 from the small blind. Action was on "FrankyFunk" who came over the top for 89,020 from the big blind and Gagliano folded leaving the two players heads-up.

"JinYang" was behind until the flop came out pairing their eight.

The board paired with the on the turn and "JinYang" just needed to dodge any ace or jack to win the pot.

Luckily for "JinYang", the river came the securing their double-up.

In Level 10 with blinds at 1,200/2,400 with an ante of 300, Ari Engel opened under the gun for 5,250 and "FraDiavolo" defended their big blind.

The flop fell and "FraDiavolo" check-called Engel's 5,250 continuation bet to see the come on the turn.

"FraDiavolo" checked once again, then folded after Engel fired out 15,850.

As the 2020 Borgata Spring Poker Open Online Series nears its conclusion, it's a good time to look ahead to what's coming up on BorgataPoker.com.

The flop was checked by both players to the turn where "Shadyant04" lead out for 4,500 and was called by "FrankyFunk".

The completed the board on the river, "Shadyant04" lead out for 9,000 but quickly folded after "FrankyFunk" raised all in for 31,983.
