The seventeen levels that were on the schedule for Day 1c of Event #13: $400 Almighty Stack have come to an end with 283 players making it through to Day 2 on Friday, January 24. During the first twelve levels of the day, 1,140 entries were collected to get the tournament on the way to surpassing the whopping $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Claiming the Day 1c chip lead is Yefim Vakser with 1,587,000 in chips. Other players to have bagged above the 1,000,000-mark include Christine Kime (1,470,000), Nikolay Volper (1,304,000), Samuel Preis (1,050,000), Greg Fretz and Ci Zhou (1,034,000 each), and Pierre Deisler with 1,029,000.
The remaining players will combine with the survivors from Day 1a (174) and 1b (111), and whoever gets past the obstacles Day 1d brought them to play down to the final 18 players for Day 3 of this event. The prize pool details will be announced at the start of Day 2.
When the players return at noon local time, they will resume play with Level 18 which features a small blind of 6,000, big blind of 12,000, and a big blind ante of 12,000. Level duration will be increased to 45 minutes each with a break likely to take place after every three levels.
The full chip counts and seat draw for Day 2 will be posted before the start of play and the PokerNews live reporting team will be there to bring you all the action from the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa Event Center here in Atlantic City.
Christine Kim has gone on a rush and is up to 1.1 million as they approach the bag & tag.
Way over on table 1, Lee Kirsch got his last ~150,000 in, got called by Yefim Vasker, then another short-stack in Seat 5 moved in for less and the hands were tabled:

Vasker paired his King on the flop and no one could catch him after that. He felted both opponents and chipped up to 1,450,000, good for the chip lead heading into the final three hands of the night.
Joe Iannacone was the chip leader as of the break and the only stack found over one million.
He's got a couple of wins at Borgata and his best live cash of $19,115 came when he won the 2016 Borgata Poker Open Deeper Stack NLH post-lim event.
They've got two levels to play before the bag & tag and if this flight goes like Flight A yesterday, Iannacone will have a handful of players joining him in the million-plus category.
Borgata regular Michael Marder is chipping up nicely here late in Flight C.
With 730,000, he's positioning himself well for a deep run on Day 2, as long as he can hold on to those chips and get them in a bag at the end of Level 17.
Samuel Preis is up to 760,000 and must be among the bigger stacks as registration closes for Flight C. He finished 11th ($8,230) in the 2018 Summer Poker Open Almighty Stack, so he knows how to make his way through a field of this size.
The unofficial entry count for 1c is 1,140, bringing the overall total for the first three flights to 2,303. Only 555 more are needed to cover the $2 million guarantee.
Robert Varkonyi got all-in holding pocket kings against a player holding and by the river, Varkonyi had improved to a full house. He felted his opponent and collected the pot.
The player in the under-the-gun position limped in and Evan Manolakos raised to 10,000 in the late position. Will Givens had just reentered and three-bet to 32,000 in the hijack. The action folded back to the under-the-gun player who folded. Manolakos four-bet shoved with the bigger stack and Givens snap-called.

The flop came for Givens to hit top pair but the on the turn gave Manolakos the set of jacks and Givens a gutshot to a straight.
The river completed the board with the to not change the outcome as Manolakos improved to a full house. Givens made his way to the reentry desk.

The flop read when Alex Rocha had bet 25,000 from the big blind. Jonathan Press raised to 55,000 from the late position for the player on the button to shove. Rocha was sitting in the tank and then made the call for the 61.000 or so he had behind. Press asked for a count of the player on the button and the dealer confirmed it was around 175,000. Press called so the cards could go on their backs.
