Barlow Doubles Before the Bubble

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The player in the hijack raised to 80,000 and the button called. Scott Barlow shoved in the big blind for 166,000 and the initial raiser four-bet to 366,000. The button confirmed both amounts and then folded.

Scott Barlow: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Hijack: {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {j-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{k-Spades} for Barlow to hold and more than double up.

Andrew Dill Eliminated on the Bubble

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
David Sathue
David Sathue

As play was being called to a halt for the bubble, Andrew Dill got his last chips in holding {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} against David Sathue, who had {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. When all the other hands were completed, they ran out the board.

It fell safely for Dill, until the river that was: {k-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{q-Spades}. The queen paired Sathue and sent him the pot. Dill was eliminated in 301st place, on the bubble, earning $0.

That propelled the remaining 300 players into the money. They're all now guaranteed to cash for at least $787.

That also eliminated the need for any hand-for-hand play, so play has resumed at a normal pace.

Vitantonio Rivers Two Pair

Level 23 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Peter Vitantonio
Peter Vitantonio

The player in the under the gun position limped in and action folded to the player in the small blind who opted to complete. Peter Vitantonio checked his big blind.

They all checked through the {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{2-Clubs} on the flop to the {3-Spades} on the turn. both the small blind and Vitantonio checked. The under-the-gun player bet 85,000 and only Vitantonio opted to make the call.

The river completed the board with the {7-Hearts}, Vitantonio took over the initiative and led out for 225,000. His opponent cut out calling chips, took his time, and then made the call but mucked when Vitantonio tabled {q-Hearts}{7-Spades} for the rivered two pair to scoop the pot.
