Maybank Doubles Up

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

At the end of the previous level, the player in the small blind and Joy Maybank in the big blind were heads-up and all-in with Maybank at risk for her last 26,500.

Joy Maybank: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Small Blind: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{a-Spades} to give Maybank top pair and the gutshot to a straight.

The turn was the {9-Spades} to now give Maybank the open-ended straight draw but she wasn't safe yet as a six on the river would mean the end of her tournament life.

But the river completed the board with the {3-Hearts} to keep Maybank in the tournament as she doubled up.

Artur Dukaj
Artur Dukaj

The defending champion, Ralph Macri, couldn't be found in his seat anymore. His former neighbor Steven Richardson was kind enough to relay that he was eliminated by Artur Dukaj who is sporting a stack of over 300,000 right now.

Savino Felts Muller

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
William Savino
William Savino

Werner Muller was all-in and covered by Michael Savino, who had him beat with {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. Muller's {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} was in bad shape.

The flop fell {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} without much impact, but when the {8-Clubs} came on the turn giving Muller a set, it appeared he was destined to double up.

The river, however, changed that when it brought the {q-Spades}, giving Savino a straight and the pot.

Kordys Wins Three-Way

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Rafal Kordys
Rafal Kordys

It was all over but the stacking on Table 1. Rafal Kordys (big blind) had won a three-way all-in holding {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} against Seat 10 with {q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Seat 2, who had pocket Kings.

The final board read {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Spades} and Kordys had rivered a straight to scoop both main and side pots. Seat 10 was felted and Seat 2 was left short, busting out on the next hand.

By the time he finished stacking, it appeared Kordys was playing close to 400,000.

Zani Hits the River

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The player in the cutoff limped in and Michael Zani did the same on the button. The player in the small blind shoved for 29,500 for Joy Maybank to fold her big blind. The initial limper folded and Zani asked for a count, after the dealer confirmed the amount, he made the call.

Small Blind: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Michael Zani: {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for Zani to hit the river for the higher two pair to eliminate his opponent.
