The 2020 Borgata Winter Poker Open continues today with Event #10: $300 Deepest Stack Double Header NLH, which offers a $200,000 Guarantee and will feature two starting flights. Flight A will get underway at 11 a.m. local time while Flight B will start at 5 p.m.
Each flight will consist of 16 levels on Day 1, after which remaining players will bag their chips for the night. The survivors from both flights will return for Day 2 at 12 noon on Tuesday, January 21, to play down to a winner.
Players will start with 40,000 in tournament chips and levels will last 30 minutes throughout. Late registration and re-entry will remain open through the end of the break after Level 12 (about 5:45 p.m.).
Last year, this tournament cruised by its $200,000 guarantee by drawing 1,129 runners, which generated a $244,734 prize pool. A heads-up deal was struck that saw Borgata regular Ralph Macri claim the BWPO trophy and $50,000 in prize money.

The tournament director has welcomed the players to the tables, explained the rules for today, and instructed the dealers to shuffle up and deal with 166 entries showing on the tournament clock.

On the turn with a board of , Paulie "the Roofer" Georges got all his chips in the middle against Joe DeSanto, who had for the flush draw with gutshot.
The river card completed the straight for DeSanto and he collected the pot, sending Georges to the rail.

Charlie Marchese played yesterday's Event #7: $340 Seniors NLH and after 13 hours, the final six players decided to call it a night and cut an ICM deal for the remaining prize pool. Marchese took third place and $7,088, which will push his lifetime earnings past the $619,000 mark.
Despite the long day of play yesterday, he's back here less than 12 hours later, on the felt playing the Deepest Stack Double Header. When you're on a roll, you've got to keep your foot on the pedal!

David Jackson has taken his seat in this event to try and score his first cash at the 2020 Borgata Winter Poker Open.
In 2019, Jackson won the $2,700 No Limit Hold'em - Borgata Fall Poker Open Championship, defeating Paul Volpe heads-up for $211,334 after winning the $400 No Limit Hold'em - Deepstack a week before. But that's not all, he also took down the Borgata Spring Poker Open Championship after besting Shannon Shorr heads-up for $304,929 to score his two biggest live tournament cashes in his poker career up till now.
Kevin Mathers or more commonly known as Kevmath in the poker/twitter world has also traveled to Atlantic City to try and cash here. According to a tweet this morning, he has set himself with some goals, one of them was to last longer than 2 hands, and that's one goal down already as the tournament is approaching the third level of the day.
