Last Chance to Register

Level 11 : 800/1,500, 1,500 ante

The day 1c Event #1 players are now on a 15-minute color up break. This is the last chance to get in on the action as tournament registration and re-entry will be closing when play resumes.

When the players return from break there will be just three more levels of play left in the night before the bagging process begins.

David Jackson Crosses the Century Chip Mark

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

David Jackson

We are approaching the close of day 1c registration and David Jackson is heating up. Jackson just scooped another pot to climb over the century chip mark.

He certainly knows a thing or two about Borgata Poker tournament success as he earned his two largest career scores here at the Borgata.

Jackson is fresh off a victory in November's Borgata Fall Poker Open where he took down the $2,700 BFPO Championship NLH event earning over $211,000 and his fourth Borgata trophy.

Soheb Porbandarwala

The chips are flying here in the Event Center and the big stacks are emerging. Soheb Porbandarwala wasted no time doubling his starting stack and he is showing no signs of slowing down.

Porbandarwala is now sitting behind a massive stack of 140,000 and he's near the top of the day 1c chip counts.

Scott Einiger is seated at an adjacent table and he is right on his heels with his own big stack of 135,000.

Pocket Jacks are Good for Lambrakis

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Soheb Porbandarwala raised to 2,100 from early position and two players called. Paul Lambrakis moved all in for 21,400 and it folded back to Rickey Lee who re-shoved all in for about 32,000.

"What the hell" said the player in late position and he put his last 16,200 in the pot.

Paul Lambrakis: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Rickey Lee: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Late Position: {5-Hearts}{3-Spades}

The board ran out {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades}{j-Hearts} and Lambrakis improved to a set of jacks to triple up.
