Miranda Dispatched By Dever

Level 21 : 8,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Julian Miranda
Julian Miranda

Julian Miranda battled Day 2 starting with 112,000 (22 big blind) to make it to a 212th place finish.

His last 71,000 chips went in with {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} against Cathy Dever's {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} and it was off to the races. She led the whole way as the board fell {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, improving to a boat on the river.

Miranda will collect $1,524 for his efforts in this event.

Rivera Ousted in 214th Place

Level 21 : 8,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Eric Rivera
Eric Rivera

Eric Rivera started Day 2 with only 97,000 chips (19 big blinds), but managed to battle his was from 754 players all the way to the money and beyond.

He recently busted out in 214th place ($1,524) in an unfortunate hand. He was all-in pre-flop holding pocket Kings against a player with {a-}{4-}.

The board ran out Q 6 4 9 4, giving his opponent trips on the river and the last of Rivera's chips.

Eriquezzo Sent Packing by Niceta

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Michael Niceta
Michael Niceta

Ryan Eriquezzo got his last chip in holding {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and got action from Michael Niceta, who had {a-Spades}{5-Spades}.

The board was unkind to Eriquezzo as it ran out {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} giving Niceta trip aces and the pot. WSOP bracelet winner Eriquezzo was sent to the payout line, which is still quite lengthy.

Sneaking Into the Money

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Angel Modica & Thomas Paxton

A couple of players on Tables 35 were happy to hear the bubble burst!

Angel Modica snuck into the money with only 62,000 chips (6 big blinds). That's after starting Day 2 with only 83,000 (17 big blinds).

Thomas Paxton's stack has been going the other direction. He started the day with only 35,000 (7 big blinds) and is now up to ~220,000 (22 big blinds).

Lots of Bubble Action!

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Ryan Dodd Survives All-In on Bubble
Ryan Dodd Survives All-In on Bubble

Ryan Dodd got all-in on the bubble holding {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} against big stack Guillermo Vargas' {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Dodd was one of three players all-in and at risk on the same round of hand-for-hand play.

The board fell safely {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{q-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Dodd doubled to ~140,000. Vargas still has 907,000 and appears to be the chip leader, having overtaken Joseph Rich.

A player on Table 24 was busted and on Table 40, Rolando Quinones was all-in with pocket tens against the pocket kings of Prabhu Dyal. The board changed nothing and Dyal took the pot, felting Quinones on the bubble.

With two players gone, that brought the count down to 400 exactly, propelling the remaining players into the money! Play as resumed regular pace and the bust-outs will now be coming quickly.
