The 2020 Borgata Winter Poker Open has now given away another trophy, this time in Event #7: $340 Seniors and it was none other than Faisal Siddiqui taking it home, along with the lion's share of an adjusted payout deal worth $10,500.

A total of 184 entries were gathered for this event and after just 12 hours of play, only six players remained. The final six took to a discussion and decided quickly on an adjusted payout that sent the largest piece to well-known Siddiqui as he had an overwhelming chip lead at the time.

The remaining five players split up the prize pool as follows Dominick Sannino ($7,212), Charles Marchese ($7,088), Al Riccobono ($6,428), John Visco ($5,523), and Mike Zgorski ($3,407).

John Kuzmech opened and Joe moved all in. Kuzmech called and the two tabled their cards with Nichols at risk.

Joe Nichols: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
John Kuzmech: {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The board came down {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Nichols failed to hold on as Kuzmech nailed two pair on the river, taking down the pot and Nichols was sent to the payout desk.

Harris Doubles Up with the Slot Machine (777)

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Karen Harris
Karen Harris

On the turn with a board of {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds} , the player in Seat 2 (cutoff) took his time, then bet 9,000. Karen Harris (button) took a beat, then moved all-in for 22,700 total. Her opponent tanked, then opted to call.

His {k-Spades}{10-Spades} gave him only a pair of tens, but her {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} gave her a set of sevens and a lock on the hand. The {j-Hearts} on the river was irrelevant and Harris doubled up.

Seniors Off and Running (well, mostly Walking, but Lots of Sitting) at 10 AM!

Barry Leventhal - 1st Place - 2019 BWPO Seniors
Barry Leventhal - 1st Place - 2019 BWPO Seniors

The Seniors will be in action early here in the Event Center at the very un-poker-like starting time of 10am EST. Event $7: $340 Seniors (50+) NLH starts players with 20,000 chips and levels 1-15 are 30 minutes long. Levels 16+ go up to 40 minutes for the rest of the tournament. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are possible until the start of Level 9 (about 2:30 p.m.).

Last year, this event drew 145 entrants for a prize pool of more than $42,000. Borgata regulars Barry Leventhal and Eric Siegel battled heads-up, but the trophy and $12,447 went to Leventhal shortly after 2am. That was his fourth Borgata Seniors Event win and eighth overall Borgata title.

This is a one-day event and play will continue until another Winter Poker Open trophy has a new home!
