Queens No Good for Stone

Katie Stone opened for 2,600, got one caller, then Duff Charette in the big blind three-bet to 8,000. Stone jammed for 23,000 the caller folded, and Charette called, having Stone well covered.

Her pocket Queens were way ahead of his pocket Jacks, but the board ran out giving Charette a full house on the flop. Stone, who was free-rolling this event after winner her seat in the Charity Series of Poker event Saturday night, was eliminated.

Gagliano Getting Shorter

The player in the under-the-gun position raised and was called by the player in the cutoff, and Michael Gagliano and Naceim Qarmout in the blinds.

They all checked through the flop to the on the turn. Gagliano and Qarmout both check-called the 4,000 continuation0bet of the initial raiser while the cutoff folded.

The river completed the board with the , Gagliano checked, Qarmout bet 13,000 and that was enough to pick up the pot.

Gaspard's Boat Sunk by Bigger Boat

Jean "Prince" Gaspard got his chips in holding pocket sixes on a flop of for sixes-full. His opponent had pocket kings for kings-up. Then another Queen on the turn gave his opponent Queens-full-of-Kings for a bigger full boat, sinking Gaspard's. He was left looking for the case six on the river, which failed to appear.

Gaspard was busted and is going to take a break before deciding whether or not to re-enter the Championship or wait for Event #22: $5,100 High Roller (7-handed) NLH that starts at 5 p.m.

Jackob Datashvili won the 2019 Summer Poker Open Championship event and $276,129 last July, so he knows what it's like to battle through a field of this size and caliber of player. That final table included some tough players, Matthew Cohen, Kenny Huynh, and Matt Marafioti.
