Six Return at Noon to Battle for $144k in the $500 Almighty Stack

Another massive field was assembled for a Borgata staple in the $500 Almighty Stack, which saw 2,209 hopefuls try their luck across six starting flights to generate a prize pool of $927,780. 279 of these players made the money and advanced to Day 2, but that number has been reduced to just six who remain in contention for the first-place prize of $144,250.

These final six survivors will return at 12 p.m. today to play down to a champion on a live-streamed final table, available on the Bet MGM Youtube channel.

Leading the way into the final day is John Malczan with 75,000,000. Malczan won a massive all in with aces against kings halfway through Day 2, and he maintained his position towards the top the rest of the way. A victory today would see Malczan climb to $1 million in career live tournament earnings.

He is joined at the top by Yuriy Kudrynskyy (57,500,000), who is already enjoying a fruitful series after finishing in fourth place out of 401 in the $650 Super Deep 6-Max.

William Shaw (31,000,000) and John Wilson (29,500,000) will have to battle it out from the middle of the pack, which usually requires cautious procedures at a final table, while Baruch Fishman (16,000,000) and Raymond Ferretti (12,000,000) will have free rein to gamble and try to spin up their short stacks.
