River Quads Crushes Romero's Boat

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Shaun O'Donnell
Shaun O'Donnell

There was an explosion of reactions in the middle of the room and it was quickly apparent why as the board showed the damage.

Shaun O'Donnell: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
James Romero: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The board had made this race as wild of a ride as possible. The flop showed {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} giving O'Donnell the lead with a boat over trips aces. The turn was the {j-Spades} to make O'Donnell stand up as he was now basically out the door against the better full house as the table reacted but the river provided the real sting in the tail as the case ten the {10-Hearts} came down to give O'Donnell quads and sit him right back down while the table and dealer continued to voice their amazement.

Anthony Zinno
Anthony Zinno

Anthony Zinnon was spotted getting up from the table as he had just been the victim of an unfortunate flop.

His {q-}{q-} was just being swept away while the {j-}{j-} of Affif Prado was hailing as the winner. The board showed the exact moment of the queen carnage as {6-}{9-}{j-}{7-}{2-} was displayed and Zinno could do nothing but walk away.

Quad Alert For Al-Keliddar

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Yaser Al-Keliddar
Yaser Al-Keliddar

Yaser Al-Keliddar raised to 2,200 from early position. The hijack called as well as Mitch Garshofsky in the cutoff.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Al-Keliddar checked. The hijack bet 4,000, Garshofsky folded and Al-Keliddar raised to 10,000, the hijack called.

The turn was {4-} to pair the board. Al-Keliddar went all in for his remaining 14,000. The hijack said "I guess I have to call you" and tossed in the call.

Al-Keliddar had the goods as he tabled {4-}{4-} for quads which crushed the {a-}{q-} of the hijack. The river was inconsequential and Al-Keliddar gathered a big pot to boost his stack to a healthy amount.
