Ivan Luca raised to 325,000 before calling an all-in from Gabriel Tavares for 1,400,000.
Gabriel Tavares: J♠J♦
Ivan Luca: K♥K♣
A nasty cooler so deep into the tournament for Tavares, and the deck would offer no help out of the situation.
The 9♠4♦4♣A♠4♠ board kept the standings as they were, seeing Tavares eliminated in 9th place.
Luiz Ferreira moved all in for 1,900,000 on the button, and Thiago Macedo called from the small blind for 740,000.
Thiago Macedo: 9♠9♣
Luiz Ferreira: 6♥5♣
The board ran out clean for Macedo, coming 4♦Q♠4♠J♦5♠, seeing him double up.
In the first hand back from the dinner break, Rafael Mota raised to 320,000 before calling an all-in by Ivan Luca for 1,100,000.
Ivan Luca: K♠K♥
Rafael Mota: Q♠10♦
A smooth runout for Luca, as the board ran out 3♣3♥5♣10♣7♥, earning him a full double up.
Level: 24
Blinds: 80,000/160,000
Ante: 160,000
There is a slight delay in the restart, as the players return from dinner break.
When play begins again, there will be a change to the blind structure.
Rather than the 30-minute blind levels up until this point, each level will now last 14 hands.
The remaining 9 players are taking a 30-minute dinner break.
Joao Simao raised to 240,000 on the button with A♣10♣, which Luiz Ferreira called, defending his big blind with 10♦8♣.
Ferreira check-called a bet of 165,000 on the 8♠6♣Q♠ from Simao.
Ferreira checked again on the 10♥ turn, prompting Simao to continue for 200,000. Ferreira sprang into action, check-raising all in for 2,200,000.
Simao wasted little time in folding, before seeing the rare sight of a pot going in the opposite direction.
Rafael Mota opened the action with a raise to 240,000 from the hijack with A♥J♥. This met resistance from chipleader Joao Simao, who three-bet to 900,000 from the small blind with A♠5♣.
The action returned to Mota, who opted not to tangle with the only player that could knock him out, and returned his cards to the dealer.
Joao Simao raised to 240,000 in early position with 3♥3♣, with only Eduardo Parra calling, defending his big blind with K♥9♣.
When Parra checked, Simao continued with a bet of 165,000 on the 4♠A♠6♥ flop, which was enough to see Parra return his cards to the dealer.
