Martello Calls For the Floor
Daniel Rezaei had just reentered as he went three-handed to a flop of J♦9♦6♥. Ottomar Ladva then bet 27,000 from the button, Fausto Martello called in the small blind, while Rezaei also called in the big blind.
Rezaei then bet 30,000 on the 3♦ turn, and here is where controversy erupted. Ladva folded, but Martello tossed in an orange 100,000 chip. The dealer ruled it just a call as he didn't announce raise, but Martello loudly protested that he had meant to raise.
A floor was called over who confirmed the dealer's ruling, but that didn't mollify Martello who asked for another tournament official. It took several minutes to resolve the matter, but his call stood and he and Rezaei saw the 7♦ river.
Both players checked and Martello showed Q♦6♦ for a flush. "If you raise, I fold anyways," Rezaei told him as he mucked.
