Kabrhel Makes a Big Laydown as Martello Hits the River
"Such a boring table, yeah. With Rezaeious and Otto, it's like the worst combination. Are you guys brothers? You look very similar," Martin Kabrhel said to Ottomar Ladva and Daniel Rezaei.
"Otto, do you want to bet whether you'll be bubble boy or not? $2 million. Put the money on the table," Kabrhel added.
"If you lend me $2 million, we could do it," Ladva replied.
Fausto Martello then attempted to limp in, and an argument arose over whether he put in more chips and should be forced to raise. A tournament official had to be called over as Martello passionately made his case, and his call was allowed to stand. Kabrhel checked back.
Both players checked the 8♣6♥4♦ flop. Martello then bet 350,000 on the 2♣ turn. "Just call, because I want Rezaeious to be bubble boy," Kabrhel said.
The river was the 8♠ and Martello tried to move all in, but another argument ensued as he only put in some of his stack. His bet was ruled to be just 900,000, and Kabrhel went deep into the tank.
"Martello, Martello, catastrophe," Kabrhel said as he took several minutes. He eventually laid down J♥J♦ and tossed in his winner showdown card, and Martello showed him K♦8♦ for rivered trips.
