2017 Cash Game Festival Gibraltar
Day: 2

Action Heating Up in the Ballroom

Most of the players that went on the dolphin and whale sightseeing trip are now back in the Sunborn Casino ballroom ready for some hot poker action.

Niklas Blomqvist was one of the first players we saw who shared the trip was great with many dolphins swimming next to the boat. He also explained that the boat came very close to Morocco.

According to Cash Game Festival Project Manager Andro Loos, they may have actually technically been in Morocco. He received a phone alert that everything was going to cost much more to use since he entered Morocco. He said he was in three countries in a very quick period of time, but we aren't sure if Morocco would count on most people's lists unless he stepped foot on the land.

Blomqvist also took a few minutes to explain to PokerNews more about the trip. He shared that while he saw far more dolphins than whales, that he did witness a few sperm whales popping on top of the surface of the sea. This was a first time experience for Blomqvist and others and one they are likely to remember for awhile if not for the rest of their lives.

The festival's photographer was also on hand capturing some amazing pictures that will be shared later in today's coverage.

Meanwhile, a £1/£2 no-limit hold'em feature table is currently being set-up with a mix of Cash Game Festival veterans and players attending the festival for the first time. We will share the line-up with some brief bios in about 30 minutes. However, one player guaranteed to be on the table is Cash Game Festival veteran Ryan Davey. Davey will also appear with Brandon Allen behind the booth to help commentate on the later stream.
