The action was booming on Day 2 of the Cash Game Festival Bratislava at Banco Casino Bratislava has been a huge success.

Normally on a Thursday evening, the casino attracts one to two cash game tables with stakes at €1/€2. Not only did the Cash Game Festival attract nine tables as of midnight but higher stakes games were also available including play at €2/€5 no-limit hold'em, €5/€5 pot-limit Omaha, €10/€10 pot-limit Omaha, and €1/€2 Sviten Special (otherwise known as drawmaha) that plays much like a €5/€5 game or higher due to the nature of the game.

The action will be even more packed with the weekend approaching and many players coming in from nearby Austria and others confirming they are flying in from abroad.

As will be the case throughout the festival, there were two televised feature tables hosted by the British duo of Henry Kilbane and George Sandford.

Italy's Paolo Caverzaghi was the biggest winner at the early €2/€5 no-limit hold'em feature table booking a profit of €1,182 or 236.4 big blinds.

The stakes then moved up to €10/€10 pot-limit Omaha and the action got huge. Jon Kyte, who entered the action with a record for being the biggest winner at a Cash Game Festival feature table on five different occasions broke his own record after he finished on top once again of another feature table with a huge profit of €3,736 (373.6 big blinds). This also is a festival high at this point for the most big blinds won at a Cash Game Festival Bratislava feature table.

In addition to all the action on the felt, online qualifiers and those with the hospitality package headed off early in the evening to the Great Bratislava restaurant for a world-class meal and endless drinks. Tomorrow players will enjoy a players party that will be one to remember. Unlike tournament festivals, players can actually go to all of the events as they can stop and start playing as they please.

As will be the case every day during the festival, live streaming is scheduled at lower stakes at 6:00 p.m. and higher stakes at 9:00 p.m. local time. You can watch all the action on the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel and under the Live Stream tab in our coverage.

Stay tuned at PokerNews as the festival has just begun and will continue to grow as the weekend approaches.

Amazing session at the €10/€10 pot-limit Omaha feature table for Jon Kyte who booked the most profit of €3,736 or 373.6 big blinds.

Kyte entered the feature table with already being the biggest winner five times before at previous Cash Game Festivals, which was a festival record. He now broke his own record by being the biggest winner for the sixth time at a Cash Game Festival feature table.

Nine Tables in Action

Cash Game Festival Bratislava

The action keeps picking up and there are nine tables of cash games. To put this in perspective, normally on a Thursday night, Banco Casino Bratislava only runs one to two tables and both at the lowest stakes available.

Among the tables running are some higher stakes games including €10/€10 pot-limit Omaha, €5/€5 pot-limit Omaha and €1/€2 Sviten Special (also known as drawmaha) which is playing much higher with every player straddling. Of course, there are also plenty of lower-stakes games to keep everyone happy.

The poker room shows no sign of slowing down, so it wouldn't be shocking if it broke the double-digit barrier before the night is over. Players are expected to flock to Bratislava in even bigger numbers as the weekend approaches and more higher stakes games are expected to be running in addition to the lower stakes ones.

We already mentioned that Jon Kyte (Seat 2) and Kevin Malone (Seat 5) would appear at the €10/€10 pot-limit Omaha feature table.

Joining them are Poland's Michal Wozniak in Seat 3, Johannes Park in Seat 6, and high-stakes action player Jussi Mattila in Seat 8.

You can check out the action by clicking on the Live Stream tab or by heading to the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel.

Jeffrey Lanser Watching the Stream Before Hopping into Action

Jeffrey Lanser

Dutch student and poker player Jeffrey Lanser is now attending his third Cash Game Festival. He learned about the festival by watching the stream and becoming a fan. He then watched the stream at several more festivals before deciding to see what it was all about it and attended his first Cash Game Festival in London in September.

Lanser followed this up with a journey to the Cash Game Festival in Tallinn in November before coming out to Bratislava for this event.

Yesterday, Lanser appeared at the feature table and then took it easy chatting with old and new friends. Today, it has been entirely railing and socializing for Lanser.

He shared while he is having fun just relaxing he will hop back to the tables this evening. This is one of the beauties of the Cash Game Festival that players can hop on and off as they please and aren't stuck to a schedule like they would be in a tournament.
