Welcome to Day 2 of the August 2019 Colorado Poker Championship

After three initial flights, the time has come for the field to combine for Day 2 of the August 2019 Colorado Poker Championship $1,100 Main Event.

Sixty-one players will return out of a total 330 entries, a 25-percent increase from last August. Of the players returning, 36 will make it into the money and lock up $2,401. All competitors will be looking up at Wendy Freedman in the chip counts, who enters the day with 597,500 in chips. Freedman got through on Day 1a and was able to remain on top through all three starting flights.

A pair of players from Day 1c are the only other two players coming into the day with over 400,000 in chips. Jay Jesse (425,000) and Tanner Stiverson (412,000) round out the top three, though they are far from the only players with a very real shot at making some noise.

Day 1b chip leader Greg Geller (365,500), Adrian Buckley (293,000), Ben Keeline (210,500), Thomas Fuller (161,500), and Nick Pupillo (147,000) are just a few of the remaining players among a sea of known regulars to the Colorado tournament scene that have their eye set on the $73,621 first-place prize.

For Day 2, play will begin at the start of Level 15 with blinds of 1,500/3,000/3,000 and progress from there with one-hour levels. Play will continue until nine players remain, at which point players will bag their chips for the night and return to play Day 3's final table on Monday.

PokerNews will keep you onboard the rest of the way. Be sure to stick around to follow the journey to the final table.
