The elimination of Tricia Coogan brought the tournament down to 37 players and Michael Rankins was all in for his tournament life on an adjacent table as Coogan was eliminated.
Rankins had the nut flush draw and a pair against Don Angstead's set of fives and was unable to fill up, resulting in the bubble bursting without any official hand-for-hand play being required.
In the meantime, Steve Wilkie was a benefactor of bubble play, and has become the first player in the tournament to eclipse the one-million chip mark.
