Level 5 : 150/300, 300 ante
Will Givens
Will Givens

Will Givens was seen taking his seat about 35 minutes ago and has already chipped up to around two-and-a-half times the starting stack. With over $2.3 million in live earnings including a second-place finish in a $600 WSOP event this summer for $245,606, Givens is surely a name to pay attention to as the day unfolds.

Lekarczyk Gets Value from Zoller, Then Doubles Him

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante

With over 22,000 in the pot on the river with a board of {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Nate Zoller was in the cutoff and checked to Mitch Lekarczyk, who was on the button. Lekarczyk bet 5,000 and Zoller sheepishly tossed in a chip to call.

Lekarczyk tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for a pair of aces and Zoller mucked, leaving himself with around 5,000 behind.

Shortly thereafter, Zoller got his stack all in preflop with {q-}{j-} to the pocket aces of Lekarczyk and hit both a queen and a jack on the flop en route to a double, putting him just shy of a 30 big-blind stack.

Zipprich Wins Flip To Double

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante

The dealer was in the process of counting out the three flop cards as Stephen Zipprich had gotten all in preflop from the cutoff with action from a player in middle position.

Stephen Zipprich: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Opponent: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

The board ran out {4-Hearts}{a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, giving Zipprich a pair of aces on the flop that held as he secured the double.

Visher More than Doubles With Nuts

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante
Barb Visher
Barb Visher

David Bybee opened to 1,200 from under the gun and received calls from the player to his left as well as the hijack. Action then folded around to Barb Visher in the small blind, who called. The big blind defended to take action to the streets five ways.

The dealer fanned a flop of {6-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades} and Visher checked. The big blind led out with a bet of 2,000 and Bybee called. The player to Bybee's left and the hijack both folded, bringing action back to Visher. She made the call. The turn fell {2-Clubs} and Visher checked.

The big blind bet again, putting out 2,800. Both Bybee and Visher called. The river came {7-Hearts} and Visher checked once more. The big blind fired for a third time, betting 3,500. Bybee then put in a raise to 13,000 and Visher looked at her stack of 16,800 before putting it in. The big blind folded.

"I have to call," said Bybee. His hand was tabled to be {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for flush.

Visher turned over {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for the nut flush and the dealer counted out her stack to confirm it as she patiently awaited the pot she had just won.

Kurtz Cracks Queens

Level 7 : 250/500, 500 ante
Kevin Kurtz
Kevin Kurtz

Kevin Kurtz opened from the hijack to 1,000 and was three-bet by the small blind to 3,000. Kurtz confirmed the amount and announced a call.

The flop fell {4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs} and the small blind fired a continuation-bet of 3,200. Kurtz called. The turn came {5-Diamonds} and the small blind continued for another 6,000. Kurtz put in a raise to 12,1000 and the small blind asked to see his remaining chips of around 15,100 before going all in for slightly less. Kurtz quickly called.

Kevin Kurtz: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Small Blind: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The river ran out clean as the small blind tapped the table to congratulate Kurtz on a nice hand and proceeded to wish everybody good luck while getting up from his seat.
