Joonas Kalevi Yltio opened up from early position to 3,300 and got a call from Ivar Simmer. A third player three-bet to 11,000. Yltio folded and Simmer called.
Simmer checked the flop before his opponent led out for 16,000. Simmer paused for a moment before he declared himself all-in for about 60,000.
His opponent folded and Simmer smiled, pointed to his jacket with a pin on it, and said, "You respect my pin."
Jim Nerlandstrem from late position three-bet an opener to 20,000 before Santtu Leinonen four-bet jammed for about 80,000 from the big blind.
The action folded back to Nerlandstrem who paused for a full minute before he called.
Santtu Leinonen:
Jim Nerlandstrem:
Nerlandstrem was in big trouble and the board didn't save him from being eliminated from the Main Event. Meanwhile, Leinonen now has more than double the average stack after the hand.
Jahn Eric Chruickshank began the day with an above average stack but it was cut in more than half early on in Day 2. Meanwhile, table mate Ranno Asper entered the day with a below average stack that eventually dwindled down to crumbs. Now both players have almost the same amount of chips.
Asper open-jammed for 10,200 from middle position with and was called by Chruickshank from the big blind with .
Asper stayed ahead the entire way as the ran blanks for his opponent and doubled up his stack.
With the room thinning out a little bit with a slew of eliminations, the tournament is now a nine-handed affair instead of 10.
The big board is reading 251 players remaining out of a field of 571 entrants. We are awaiting what the final number of entrants in the field will be as it is expected to be slightly higher.
The feature table has just begun and can be viewed by clicking on the live stream tab in our coverage. As was the case yesterday, the charismatic duo of Brandon Allen and Henry Kilbane will be hosting the commentary.
The table should be entertaining with the first-ever Coolbet Open Main Event champion Sebastian Wahl competing with eight other players including Wednesday's Kommunepoker champion Mari Thorrud Olsen.
