David Levy Eliminated in 19th Place (€1,750)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
David Levy
David Levy

David Levy flew into Tallinn from Israel after a friend told him about the Coolbet Open. His deep run in the Main Event just came to an end.

Jan-Mikael Kesanen opened for 50,000 before Niko Mykkänen three-bet to 150,000. Levy then cold four-bet jammed for 250,000. Kesanen folded while Mykkänen called.

Levy: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Mykkänen: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Levy was a huge favorite in the hand, however, the deck was stacked against him. His opponent flopped a set on the {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Levy was unable to catch-up as the {4-Diamonds} and {5-Diamonds} fell on the turn and river.

While Levy shared he was disappointed in the turn of events, he didn't walk away empty-handed with his 19th place performance being worth €1,750.

Even Evensen Eliminated in 20th Place (€1,750)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Even Evenson
Even Evenson

We missed the elimination of Even Evensen, but he shared with the media the meat and bones of what happened.

Evensen called a bet from with {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} on a {A-}{Q-}{X-} Sander van Wesemael. He called all-in a blank turn sharing that he thought his opponent was bluffing.

It turns out that Van Wesemael had {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for top pair and Evensen collected €1,750 for 20th place.

As it turns out, he is happy with his result as he shared he normally gets eliminated on a bad beat and this was fair to him.

Aleksander Lammas Eliminated in 21st Place (€1,550)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Aleksander Lammas
Aleksander Lammas

The action folded to Aleksander Lammas on the small blind and he jammed for his short stack of 78,000. Craig Timmis seemed uncomfortable and went into the tank. He eventually called.

Lammas: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Timmis: {6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}

Lammas had a commanding edge in the hand before the flop. While he flopped a set on the {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop, it also gave his opponent a straight draw.

The {A-Clubs} on the turn was a safe card for Lammas. However, the {10-Hearts} on the river gave Timmis the straight and sent Lammas to the rail in 21st place.

Rauno Tahvonen

It was a tremendous run for Rauno "Estonian Jesus" Tahvonen. However, his tournament life ended on a bad beat.

Tahvonen jammed for 120,000 with {10-}{10-} and an opponent called him with {j-}{10-}. The board ran safely until the river.

However, a {J-} spiked the board on the river and he was eliminated in 22nd place for €1,550.

Anders Karlsen
Anders Karlsen

Two hands after the redraw, Anders Karlsen shoved for about 12 big blinds {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

Kristoffer Skolem called with {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} to put the duo into a classic coin-flip.

Unfortunately for Karlsen, the coinflip was unable to go his way as the board ran out {k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} to send him to the rail in 23rd place for €1,550.

Kristoffer Skolem Eliminates Sergei Aleksejev

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Kristoffer Skolem
Kristoffer Skolem

Sergei Aleksejev and Kristoffer Skolem collided in a huge hand.

On a {9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop, Skolem bet 27,000. Roger Pedersen called before Aleksejev raised to 120,000. Skolem went all-in for a huge stack of 527,000. Pedersen folded and Aleksejev called for less.

Skolem was in a world of hurt with {J-}{J-} against the {9-}{9-} held by Aleksejev. However, the {J-Spades} came on the turn to turn the tide the other way giving Skolem a bigger set. The {2-Clubs} completed the board on the river and Aleksejev hit the rail in 25th place for €1,350.

Players are now on a break while the redraw is being made and just five second level on the clock in Level 20.
