Bluff Doesn't Work for Kaljulaid

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Rasmus Parts checked on the river with the {5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds} on the board with about 7,000 in the pot before Egon Holdhus bet 400. Raimo Kaljulaid raised to 3,800 and got a quick flat-call from Parts. Holdhus paused for about 30 seconds before he folded.

Kaljulaid was the last aggressor so was supposed to be the first to show his cards. Instead of doing so, he tossed them into the muck and the pot was awarded to Parts.

Aces Hold Against Kings

Level 2 : 50/100, 0 ante

Just before the blinds went up, two local Estonian players were battling it out. Raimo Kaljulaid opened from under the gun before Priit Aavasalu three-bet from the big blind.

Kaljulaid four-bet to 1,450 before Aavasalu quickly five-bet to 3,450. Kaljulaid then six-bet to 12,000 and Aavasalu paused for about a minute before he called.

Aavasalu bet 5,500 after the {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{6-Clubs} came on the flop. Kuljulaid tanked for about a minute before he declared himself all-in for about 18,000. Aavasalu then thought for a minute before he made the call.

Raimo Kaljulaid: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Priit Aavasalu: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Aavasalu, who was slightly covered, shook his head in frustration after he saw his kings were dominated by his opponent's aces. He left his chair after the {5-Diamonds} came on the turn followed by the {7-Clubs} came on the river.

Mathias Siljander
Mathias Siljander

Mathias Siljander won the last Coolbet Open Main Event and appears to have his heart set on building a big stack on Day 1a.

He was in and out of his seat in a hurry and was the first player eliminated in the tournament by the hands of Henrik Josetsson.

Siljander didn't share the hand as he walked by the media desk but did share he was bluffing before he went to the registration desk to reenter.

"I tried to make him fold, but he didn't," Siljander said about the hand.
