Hesthol Does a Jig After a Double

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The action folded to Steven Iglesias in the small blind and he jams more than enough to cover the 110,000 in chips or so his opponent Lars Peter Hesthol held in the big blind. Hesthol made the call and the players turned over their cards.

Steven Iglesias: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Lars Peter Hesthol: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

Hesthol appeared less than pleased with the fact his opponent hit two pair on the {10-Spades}{3-Spades}{k-Diamonds} flop. Hesthol, however, improved to a flush after the {9-Clubs} came on the turn followed by the {4-Spades} on the river to win the hand.

At first, Hesthol didn't see the flush and went to shake the hand of Iglesias and said "good game." He was told he won the hand and went on to do a quick jig in the isle before the next hand was dealt.

Small Blind and Big Blind Swap Chip Stacks

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

The action folded around to Erick Sivertson in the small blind who jammed for about 10 big blinds with {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and was called by Timmo Kaha in the big blind with {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}.

The {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades} ran out on the board and Sivertson doubled up.

Eliminated in 41st to 48th Places (€1,450)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Ikonen's Aces Hold Against Lehtinen

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Joel Lehtinen shoved his small stack of under 10 big blinds from late position with {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and was called by Olli Tapani Ikonen with {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}.

The {3-Spades}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{a-Spades} board was unable to save Lehtinen and he was eliminated in 39th place.

Fiona Sand is the Last Woman Standing

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Fiona Sand
Fiona Sand

Fiona Sand fired her first and only bullet during the first blind level of Day 2 and has made the most of it. She is officially the last woman standing in the Main Event after the earlier elimination of Lise Hoyforslett.

When someone at her table pointed it out just before the break, she responded with a laugh: "I am the last woman sitting."

Witte Doubles

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Klaus Witte
Klaus Witte

Klaus Witte jammed from the cutoff for 183,000. Klaus Witte was next to act from the button and asked for a chip count before he made the call.

Klaus Witte: {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}
Marcin Jaworski: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Jaworski had the best hand when the chips went in the middle but his opponent pulled out of the hand with a double after the {9-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{j-Clubs} ran out on the board.

Sootla Leaves with his Rail

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Ranno Sootla
Ranno Sootla

Ranno Sootla had a small rail despite being down to under 10 big blinds. He and his rail have packed up as Sootla's day has just ended.

Sootla jammed {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and was called by Marcin Jaworski with {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Sootla got out of his seat after his opponent paired the {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop. He slipped back in for a second when a gutshot straight draw opened up after the {10-Clubs} came on the turn. The {2-Clubs} completed the board and the pot was awarded to Jaworski.
