Saevarsson Jams Into Sahli's Aces
Level 4
: Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
The action was picked up on a J♠7♣4♦9♦ turn. With 18,000 in the pot, Steinar Saevarsson fired a bet of 11,000 from early position. Yanis Sahli flicked in a call from the hijack, after which the 6♣ river emerged from the deck.
Saevarsson moved in his stack of 17,900. Sahli called off his stack of 17,000 after a few seconds, causing a displeased Saevarsson to show Q♦Q♣ for a pair of queens.
Sahli had the higher pocket pair with his A♥A♦, and he doubled up to be among the leaders in the room. Saevarsson was left with just three big blinds, which he would lose not much later.
