The three starting flights of the 2026 Coolbet Open €550 Main Event have been completed. The number of entries currently stands at 595, while the prize pool amounts to €282,625, already smashing last year's numbers. In fact, if 92 entries are recorded during the four levels of late registration that remain once Day 2 gets underway at noon local time, a new Coolbet Open record will be set.
Meanwhile, 243 players have already secured their spot on Day 2. Among those returning to Olympic Park Casino in Hilton Tallinn Park is reigning champion Guillermo Gordo, whose 50,100 chips give him 41 big blinds at the start of the day. 2024 winner Anders Bjorkheim is the only other Coolbet Open champion in the field, playing an above-average stack of 89,000.
However, both Bjorkheim and Gordo are some ways away from the chip lead, which is in the hands of Gunnar Jacobsen. Jacobson obliterated the Day 1c evening flight, ending the night with 223,700. Day 1b chipleader Jawad Habib was the only other player to cross the 200,000-mark, returning with 219,500. The top three are completed by Oystein Stai with 191,700, while Day 1a chipleader Baldvin Borgarsson sits in fifth with 179,000.

Play will get underway at noon local time, with the blinds starting at Level 10: 1,000/1,500 with a 1,500 big blind ante. Four 40-minute levels of late registration remain, with the latest anyone can join being just before Level 14: 1,000/2,000 (2,000) begins, giving players a shot at victory with just 15 big blinds. Meanwhile, Day 2 will end once the bubble has burst and the money has been reached.
