One year ago, Guillermo Gordo won the Coolbet Open €550 Main Event, shipping his first-ever live trophy and €48,400. A couple of months later, Gordo improved on that score by finishing runner-up in a €1,100 Main Event at Olympic Park Casino in Hilton Tallinn Park for €66,790. Today, Gordo returns to the same venue at noon local time, hopeful of going back-to-back as the Coolbet Open is back and bigger than ever.
Due to the 2026 edition of the Coolbet Open Main Event noting a record-breaking 753 entries, Gordo can add €65,415 to his live career earnings if he goes all the way today, lifting his The Hendon Mob score over the magic $ 1,000,000 mark. However, Gordo has his work cut out for him on what will be the final day of the tournament.
Out of 54 returning players, the Spanish grinder sits in 48th, with his stack of 180,000 being worth 12 big blinds at the start. Gordo has been here before, though, as last year he returned for the final day as the third-shortest stack and turned it around to secure victory in the end.
Meanwhile, chipleader John Blomberg has the best outlook on the major prizes from the €357,675 prize pool. The Finnish national, who has only one recorded cash before the Coolbet Open, returns with 1,570,000 in chips, creating a big gap with Oystein Stai, who sits in second place with 1,090,000. American player Xavier Lyu completes the podium with 765,000, while the top ten also features players from Estonia, Ukraine, and Georgia.

Jon Thorvaldsson is Iceland's best hope with 485,000, while William Corvalan (325,000) is the last remaining player from Chile, having traveled halfway across the world for the Coolbet Open.
Day 3 of the 2026 Coolbet Open Main Event will restart at Level 22: 10,000/15,000 with a 15,000 big blind ante. All levels will remain 40 minutes long until the end, with a break scheduled after every three levels. As this is the final day of the tournament, Day 3 will conclude only when a winner has been crowned. Coolbet will also host a cards-up live stream with a static 30-minute delay, starting when 24 players remain.
While the returning players have all secured €1,480 already, the real big prizes will have to wait for a bit. Small pay jumps will occur every few spots until the final table of nine players has been reached, at which point the minimum payout is €6,080. Surviving two more eliminations will net everyone a five-figure payout, while the first-place prize is €65,415.
