Berg Leaves Bulksas in Critical Condition
Level 30
: Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Petter Berg opened to 200,000 in middle position. The short-stacked Tomas Bulksas just flat-called in the small blind, and the dealer fanned 3♣Q♥2♦ as the flop.
Bulksas checked, Berg bet 120,000, and Bulksas called. The J♠ turn was then checked through to the 6♠ river. Bulksas checked again, enough reason for Berg to bet 475,000.
After a short tank, Bulksas called for the vast majority of his stack. Berg revealed Q♠10♠ for top pair, and Bulksas' K♦J♦ disappeared into the muck.
The chips were sent Berg's way, and he ended the hand with over 60 big blinds in his stack. In contrast, Bulksas remained with just two and a half big blinds to try and spin up.
