As recounted by Petter Richardsen, he opened to 3,200 in the cutoff, and Scotty Nguyen three-bet to 9,000 in the small blind. Richardsen then moved all in, and Nguyen called off his stack of 40,000.

Richardsen paired his king on the 8♥K♣6♣ flop, and Nguyen failed to find a jack on the 4♦ turn or 5♥ river, sending him to the exit.
Vladimir Korzinin had departed from Scotty Nguyen's table, but immediately rebought. He then shoved all in from the hijack on the first hand of his new table, and Erik Sonsteby called in the small blind.

None other than Poker Hall of Famer Scotty Nguyen has joined the 2026 Coolbet Open Main Event, and he immediately met one of Europe's finest poker royalty, Vladimir Korzinin.
"I'm going to jam blind the next hand," Korzinin told the table as the cards were dealt.
Nguyen then opened to 2,500 in middle position, and Korzinin stayed true to his word and moved all in from the button.
"You weren't lying, huh, baby?" Nguyen said to his opponent, who just shrugged in response.
"I was just testing the waters," Nguyen stated before he folded his hand.
In a single-raised pot to the 6♥3♣2♥ flop, Anders Karlsen — who pulled over €13,000 in bounties earlier this week in the Mystery Bounty event — checked from the big blind.
Sergi Kapanadze then bet 3,200, which Karlsen raised to 10,500. Kapanadze called, after which Karlsen checked the A♥ turn again. Kapanadze re-engaged with a bet of 11,000, but Karlsen double check-raised.
This time, he moved all in for 23,000. Kapanadze snap-called with the covering stack.

Both players had turned a flush, but Kapanadze had the nuts. The meaningless 2♦ river completed the board as Karlsen left the table, and he would need to spend some of his bounty money if he wished to reenter.
Martin Willborg, who reentered at the start of Day 2, tossed in 11,000 on the 5♦2♦3♥K♥ turn from the big blind. Raigo Vaikma called in the cutoff, after which the Q♥ river completed the board.
Willborg slowed down with a check, seeing Vaikma put him all in for 10,500. Willborg sighed, but quickly called.
Vaikma showed K♣Q♦ for runner-runner two pair, cracking the A♥A♦ of Willborg to send him to the rail early on Day 2.
