Mizrachi Strikes Out The Side

Level 10 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

As we were typing up the last few hands, the eliminations kept coming. Most of the time, it's been Michael Mizrachi who has just been shoving most hands, busting players left and right. Since our last update,we have lost both Karina Jett and David Zayas.

We are down to our final 10 players, and they are all combining to one table right now. With one more elimination, the nine lucky players who will be going to the Breeders Cup will be decided.

Final Table Apporaches

Level 10 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

To say the action is fast and furious is quite the understatement. Players are dropping like flies left and right, and all of a sudden, we are down to 12 players left. We are doing our best to keep up with the action, and are doing our best to keep up with it all.

Mizrachi On a Run of Epic Proportions

Michael Mizrachi- Overwhelming chip leader
Michael Mizrachi- Overwhelming chip leader

Well it doesn't seem like anyone will be stopping Michael Mizrachi today. He is on an unheard of heater, and he's knocked out two of the biggest names left in the tournament on his way.

In the first hand, action folded around to Mike Matusow on the button, and he shoved his last 20,000 in the middle. Action folded to Mizrachi, who instantly made the call. Mizrachi tabled, {k-Spades}{10-Spades}, which was miles ahead of Matusow's {10-}{2-}, and Mizrachi held to win the hand.

Just a few hands later, we heard a huge commotion from Mizrachi's table, so we went over to hear what happened. Karina Jett let us know that on a flop of {a-}{j-}{4-}, David ODB Baker was all in holding {a-}{q-}. He was in great shape, as Mizrachi held a measly {10-}{8-}. The turn kept Mizrachi in the hand, coming a {k-}. Mizrachi started chanting for a queen, and sure enough, a {q-}spiked on the river. The table and their rail exploded, while Baker stood up and laughed off the ridiclous beat.

After that hand, Mizrachi stands with about 180,000, which is a quarter of the chips in play with two tables left.

Wade Won't Be Going to the Breeders Cup

We caught up with the action on the flop, which read {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Spades}. Tristan Wade was already all in pre flop, and two other players were in the process of getting their chips in when we got there. When the cards were tabled, we saw that Wade was in big trouble.

Wade: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Opponent 1: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Opponent 2: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

Wade was drawing thin, and the turn brought the {4-Clubs}. The river came the {4-Spades}, and that sent Wade to the showers.

Baker Binks The Ten to Survive

David "ODB" Baker got the last of his 12,000 in preflop holding {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, but was in a world of hurt as he ran into the {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} of his opponent. However, Baker was save on the flop, which came {2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. The board completed {4-Clubs} and {7-Spades}, and Baker secured the double up to 23,000.

Updated Chippies

Here are some updates on the notable names, and it should be noted that by our counts, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi has more then double anyone else in the room.

Final Three Tables

Level 9 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We are down to under 30 players, and we have three 10-handed tables in action right now. There are still plenty of big names left, and we will round up a round of chip counts for you guys right now.
