What They Are Playing For

Level 5 : 300/600, 100 ante

Since this is a celebrity invitational, the prize pool payouts aren't like your normal tournament. For this tournament, the players who are fortunate enough to make the final table will be rewarded with seats to the Breeders Cup on November 2nd and 3rd.

The players who finish 3-9 will get two seats to the Cup. The runner-up will receive four box seats to the event, and the first place winner of the tournament will win a cool $10,000. We are down to five tables already, and we are ready to find out who the lucky players will be!

Break It Down

Level 4 : 300/600, 0 ante

We have four levels in the books, and players are on their first 15 minute break of the day. At the moment, the tournament staff is going around and collecting $100 add-ons. Each player can get one no matter their chip stack, and it's good for 5,000 extra chips.

Cre8ive Chips Up Before Break

On the last hand before the break, we saw Tristan "Cre8ive" Wade racking in a nice sized pot. We caught up with the action on a flop of {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Wade was heads up with an opponent, who fired out 1,500. Wade grabbed a stack of T500 blue chips, and dumped it inot the middle, setting his opponent all in. His opponent called, and let out a gasp of frustration when he saw the cards.

Wade: {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The turn brought the {a-Diamonds}, and Wade was looking to dodge just a jack to secure the pot. He did that, as the river brought the {5-Spades}. That hand boosted Wade up to 22,000, and after the add-on, he's now at a threatening 27,000.

ODB Chops Out A Victory

There was a three way all in at David ODB Baker's table moments ago, with Baker having both players easily covered. Baker held {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}, while his opponents held {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} and {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} respectfully. The board ran down {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades}, and Baker earned some profit with a chopped pot knockout.

Baker is up to 22,000 after the hand, while on a different table, we saw that Robert Mizrachi has been knocked out and elected not to rebuy.

Zayas Takes Pot With Agression

David Zayas can play too
David Zayas can play too

David Zayas, who is currently best known for his role as Sergant Batista on the Showtime hit drama Dexter, is sitting right next to Michael Mizrachi, and so far, he's holding his own. We caught up with a pot that saw Zayas and two others take a flop three handed.

That flop came {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}, and it was checked to Zayas, who fired 2,000. Only the originial raiser called, and the turn brought the {10-Diamonds}. It was checked to Zayas again, and he kept the pressure on with a bet of 2,500. This time, his opponent folded, and Zayas showed {a-Clubs}{7-Spades} for two pair.

Zayas is one of the bigger stacks in the room after that pot, now sitting on 17,500.

Last Round For Rebuys

Level 4 : 300/600, 0 ante

The fourth level has just started, meaning that players will have 20 more minutes to rebuy. We can expect a ton of all in pots this round, so stayed tuned for some action!

Ray Rebuys

We got to the table to see that local cash game pro Ray Henson was all in on a {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. He just got one call, and when the cards were flipped, Henson saw that he was far behind.

Henson: {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

The turn paired the board, the {8-Clubs}, and took some of Henson's outs in the process. Henson could only catch a seven to win the hand, but it wasn't meant to be, as the river brought the {5-Spades}. Henson joked that he had made a straight, but quickly gave up with a smile, and reach into his wallet for a rebuy.
