Aleksic Ascends Further by Eliminated Fenyvesi

Level 8 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

The A47 flop checked to Csaba Fenyvesi on the button, who bet 45,000. Filip Aleksic then raised the pot to 230,000 under the gun, forcing out Tomasz Kozub in the hijack.

Fenyvesi weighed his options for a bit before he moved all in for 300,000, quickly being called by Aleksic.

Csaba Fenyvesi: AQ108 All in
Filip Aleksic: 7765

Aleksic filled up on the 4 turn, leaving Fenyvesi drawing dead. The meaningless 3 river completed the board as Fenyvesi headed out of the tournament room.

Yanovski Back to the Rail

Level 8 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Leonid Yanovski
Leonid Yanovski

On his third bullet of the day, Leonid Yanovski got his 107,500 chips in from the small blind against Filip Lovric in the cutoff.

Filip Lovric: AK105

"I feel it, queen of diamonds," Yanovski hopefully stated before 528 appeared on the flop.

The 10 turn made Lovric two pair, however, and Yanovski scoffed as the 4 river bricked off, sending him to the exit once again.

Thuman Chips Up on Deep-Stacked Table

Level 8 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Hans Thumann had opened from the cutoff and called the subsequent three-bet of Martin Nielsen in the small blind, leading to a pot of 150,000. Nielsen continued for 75,000 on the 4AJ flop, and Thumann called.

The 6 turn and 6 river were checked to showdown, where Nielsen admitted he thought Thumann had limped preflop as he tabled QQ105.

Thumann profited from Nielsen's mistake as he played a pair of aces with AQ85 and was shipped the pot.

Joentausta Ships Massive Three-Way All-In

Level 8 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Aku Joentausta
Aku Joentausta

Aku Joentausta, Mark Berente, and Imad Derwiche were looking at a 69K flop. From the small blind, Joentausta bet 25,000 into the pot of 50,000, which Berente raised to 125,000.

Derwiche called cold, sending Joentausta into the tank. After a few minutes, he moved all in for 356,000. Berente snap-called for 351,000, and Derwiche eventually called as well, barely covering both opponents.

Aku Joentausta: Q1066 All in
Imad Derwiche: 10987

Joentausta's set became a full house on the 33 runout, securing him the pot, tripling him up, and eliminating Berente. Derwiche, meanwhile, was left with about two big blinds.

Kozub Chips Up Without Showdown

Level 7 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Csaba Fenyvesi had raised in early position and called the three-bet of Tomasz Kozub on the button, leading to a pot of 124,000 in the middle.

The flop fell 246, on which Kozub risked his final 64,000. Fenyvesi quickly check-folded, however, and Kozub chipped back to nearly a starting stack.

Derwiche Heads Home as Hausen Hero-Calls

Level 7 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Imad Derwiche
Imad Derwiche

Mads Amot raised to 17,000 in early position, and Imad Derwiche called in the neighboring seat. Tobias Hausen then tossed in 75,000 on the button, which only Derwiche called.

To Derwiche's surprise, the QA3 flop were checked by both players.

"Why do you check? You have aces," Derwiche playfully stated as the J arrived on the turn. He then moved all in for his last 65,000.

Hausen went deep into the tank, during which Derwiche put his opponent on pocket kings, telling them they were no good. After several time banks, Hausen flicked in some calling chips.

Tobias Hausen: KK86

The 6 river did not improve Derwiche's hand, and he was sent to the rail as Hausen raked in the pot.

Hossein Ensan pushed his remaining 150,000 over the line on a 974 flop, and was up against chipleader Bharath Janardhan.

Hossein Ensan: 9554 All in
Bharath Janardhan: J1086

Janardhan's wrap had become a straight by the river, and Ensan gave the table a friendly tap before he headed on his way.

In the meantime, Youness Barakat and Tomasz Kozub had stopped by the reentry desk and were back playing in the PLO Grand Slam Championship.
