Patel Gets Big Value With Top Two; Barakat Back In

In a pot that approached 100,000 chips in size, Shamil Patel bet 50,000 under the gun on a completed board of 36JAK. Erik Friberg spent some time in the tank, spending one of his time extensions before he threw in calling chips.

Patel showed AKJ7 for aces and kings. Friberg studied his opponent's hand for a while before he nodded his head and flung his cards into the muck.

In the meantime, Youness Barakat had retaken his seat in the tournament via a fresh buy-in.

Button Robert Cowen, who had just eliminated Youness Barakat in an unwitnessed hand, raised Nikolaos Lampropoulos' limp to 5,500. Florian Kraft called in the big blind, and Lampropoulos came along as well.

The A45 flop checked to Cowen, who continued for 5,500. Kraft mucked his cards, while Lampropoulos tossed in a call. The 4 turn was checked by both players, and Lampropoulos checked again on the 2 river.

The K turn was quickly checked through to the J river, which Pansier also checked. Kozub announced a bet of 16,000, sending Pansier into the tank.

Pansier played with a calling chip for the duration of his 30-second shot clock, tossing it in when his countdown neared zero.

Kozub showed down 10998 for a pair of nines, meaning the pot was shipped to Pansier, who had called with 6553 for bottom two pair.
