The flagship event of the PLO Grand Slam Prague, hosted by the Diamond Poker Series, is set to begin today, with 23 players returning to the All Inn Casino. So far, the €10,400 Championship, featuring a €1,000,000 guarantee, has drawn 78 entries, and that number will continue to climb today as late registration remains open for three more levels once the action begins, with unlimited reentries during the late registration period.

Fresh off his seventh place finish in the €5,200 Million yesterday, Omar Eljach leads the field going into Day 2 with 1,784,000 and is the only player above 200 big blinds to start the day. Eljach is most closely followed by Dario Alioto (1,450,000), while Alexander Petersen (1,240,000) rounds out the top three.

Other players returning for Day 2 include Juha Helppi (717,000), Ole Schemion (656,000), and Dennis Weiss (342,000). Aku Joentausta and Aleksei Vandyshev, who finished second and first last night respectively in the €5,200 Million, also bagged, albeit with the shortest stacks at exactly 118,000 each.

The action is set to resume today at Level 11, with the blinds at 4,000/8,000 (8,000). While subject to change, the tentative plan is to play as many 60-minute levels as needed to reach a final table.

PokerNews will be on site throughout the day, so stay tuned for all the four-card action as the €10,400 Championship plays into the money and towards a final table.
