Lindstrom Spikes a Straight to Bust Toompere in Massive Pot

Heads-up on a flop of Q♠6♣3♦, Fredrik Lindstrom bet 85,000 from the cutoff and Ragnar Toompere raised to 250,000 on the button. Lindstrom then moved all in and Toompere took a minute before calling for 800,000 more.

Toompere was ahead with top pair, while Lindstrom had a straight draw. The 5♣ turn improved Lindstrom to his straight and left Toompere needing to fill up on the river to survive, but he missed the 3♠ river and was sent to the rail a few spots off the money.

Igor Pihela was also eliminated recently as the field reached the money bubble.

Alexander Petersen raised to 85,000 in middle position and picked up three callers, including Youness Barakat in the cutoff and Aku Joentausta and Dominykas Karmazinas in the blinds.

Action checked to Barakat on the A♣Q♣5♦ flop and he bet 175,000. Only Petersen called.

Both players checked the 4♦ turn before Barakat bet 550,000 on the Q♠ river. "You could be bluffing and still have better. I would call in a cash game," Petersen said, flashing the 5♠ as he mucked.

"What a bad river," Petersen added.

Jonas Kronwitter raised to 85,000 under the gun and was called by Artur Teshaev in the hijack, Tom-Aksel Bedell on the button, as blinds Anh Do and Aki Vihikainen.

"I can have a big stack again," Kronwitter said as the flop came A♣6♣6♠. All five players checked and the A♠ fell on the turn.

Kronwitter then moved all in for 185,000 and only Teshaev called. Teshaev showed A♥J♦10♦10♠ for trip aces and Kronwitter already tossed K♠Q♠10♣Xx into the muck before the 3♥ completed the board on the river as he was eliminated on the money bubble.

Amir Mozaffarian raised to 80,000 under the gun and was called by Andriy Lyubovetskiy in the hijack, while Jonas Klausen also came along from the big blind.

The flop came 9♠9♦6♦ and Mozaffarian bet 100,000. Lyubovetskiy called, but Klausen moved all in for 435,000.

Mozaffarian quickly folded, while Lyubovetskiy confirmed the amount and took a few moments before also folding.

Filip Aleksic was in the small blind and reraised to 330,000. Youness Barakat called in middle position, but Filip Lovric moved all in for 905,000 in the hijack. Aleksic then reshoved for 2,170,000.

"This is very upsetting," Barakat said as he tanked for a few minutes.

"Everybody is trapping. You know what they have," Petersen said before Barakat eventually folded.

With around 450,000 in the pot on a flop of 10♦8♦2♥, Anh Do moved all in for 350,000 under the gun and Artur Teshaev called on the button, as did big blind Tom-Aksel Bedell.

Teshaev and Bedell checked down the A♥ turn and 4♠ river and Bedell showed A♦9♥5♣2♦ for two pair. Do, though, showed 10♥10♠8♠8♣, having flopped a set with both of his pairs, and Teshaev mucked to surrender the triple up to Do.

In a blind versus blind battle on a flop of J♦7♠5♣, Gergo Nagy got his last 640,000 in the middle as Amir Mozaffarian put him at risk.
