Barakat Finally Gets the Better of Petersen

Alexander Petersen raised to 125,000 in the cutoff and Youness Barakat called on the button.

Petersen continued for 100,000 on the 10♠10♦6♦ flop and Barakat called. The turn was the K♠ and Petersen bet another 375,000. Barakat again called.

Petersen slowed down and checked the Q♦ river, and Barakat announced pot. Petersen didn't even wait for the amount before folding.

"Finally got one through. My life is complete. Cash me out," Barakat said.

"I want to talk hands with you so much after the tournament, but for now I hate you," Barakat added.

The turn was the K♦ and Ensan led out for 230,000. Yanovski called and the 4♥ fell on the river.

Ensan slowed down and checked, and Yanovski then moved all in for 490,000. Ensan tossed his cards away and Yanovski showed 10♠10♦ for a full house as he took the pot.

Stefan Lehner raised to 175,000 under the gun, leaving just 30,000 behind, as Amir Mozaffarian reraised to 600,000 in the hijack. The rest of the table got out of the way and Lehner tossed in his last chips.

Lehner needed to improve against Mozaffarian's aces, but the 2♦3♦3♣8♥6♣ board was no help and Lehner was sent to the rail in 17th place.

At the same time at another table, Yusuf Kumtepe moved all in for 245,000 from the small blind on a board of 9♦8♣6♦2♣ and Tom-Aksel Bedell called in the big blind. Aki Vihikainen then reraised to 1,400,000.

"What do I do? My life depends on this," Bedell said as he tanked for a minute before folding.

Kumtepe had J♥8♦7♥2♥ for two pair and needed to hold against Vihikainen's A♣Q♣10♥8♥, but the 9♣ fell on the river to give Vihikainen the nut flush and send Kumtepe to the rail in 16th place.

Leonid Yanovski raised to 140,000 in early position and was called by Gergo Nagy on the button and big blind Hossein Ensan.

Action checked to the river on a board 7♦5♠3♠J♣Q♣ when Nagy bet 250,000. Only Ensan called.

Nagy instantly mucked and Ensan showed A♠Q♥ as he took the pot.

At the same time as the double knockout earlier, Dominykas Karmazinas was also eliminated by Amir Mozaffarian. As recounted by Alexander Petersen, Karmazinas raised in early position and Mozaffarian called.

The flop came Qx9x2x with two diamonds and Karmazinas potted. Mozaffarian called and they got the rest of Karmazinas' chips in the middle on another deuce on the turn.

Karmazinas had two kings, but Mozaffarian had two aces to win the pot and send Karmainzas to the rail.

Tom-Aksel Bedell limped in from under the gun and Filip Lovric raised to 200,000 in the small blind. Bedell called and they went heads-up to the 10♥4♠3♠ flop.

Lovric led out for another 200,000 and Bedell announced pot. Lovric instantly flung his cards away and Bedell raked in the pot.
