Nagy Shows Korhs How to Win Tournaments
Vitalijs Korhs raised to 175,000 in the cutoff and Youness Barakat reraised to 605,000 in the small blind. Korhs called and the flop came A♣4♣2♠.
Barakat then potted to 1,400,000 and Korhs quickly folded.
The next hand, Korhs again opened to 175,000 and Barakat called on the button. Gergo Nagy moved all in for 520,000 in the big blind, Korhs reraised, and Barakat got out of the way.
Gergo Nagy: 10♣9♣8♥5♥
Vitalijs Korhs: A♠A♣6♣4♦
"I can crack that," Nagy said as Korhs showed down aces. His words proved prophetic, as the board ran out K♠4♠10♦8♠8♦ to give him a full house and the double up.
"That's how I win tournaments," Nagy said.
At the other table, Aki Vihikainen had raised to 200,000 in the hijack and Tomasz Krzesinki reraised to 625,000 on the button. Vihikainen then moved all in and Krzesinski called for 325,000 more.
Krzesinski showed Q♣Q♠7♣Xx, while Vihikainen had A♥K♥J♥Xx as Krzesinski spiked a set on the Q♥J♠6♠ flop. The rest of the board ran out 5♠9♥ and Krzesinski doubled up again.
